Stenciling is one of the oldest method of creating patterns and designs directly on various range of surfaces. I think that this art is ideal for kids. We can help them to experiment and explore their creativity by using different types of paints and unusual colour schemes. If your kids are small, then you can help them to cutout the stencil.
My daughter is 4yrs old, so I have cutout stencil for her. For stencil cutout, follow these few steps:
1) First, take a transparent thick plastic sheet.
2) Place the plastic sheet on design and then traced it with rotring isograph pen ( you can use permanent marker also).
3)With the help of cutting mat and cutter, cutout the stencil.
4) Then take a white card. Place the stencil on card and fixed it with help of masking tape. Now you can colour your card with any medium you like.
My daughter have used her plastic crayons. I think she has done a wonderful job. You can also try this stencil art with your kids. Let me know if you like it.
