To create a Quilled Jhumkas, we need following material:

1. Paper quilling strips: 5mm paper quilling strips
2. Earring hooks, eye pins
3. Crystal bead, bead caps, spacers
4. Acrylic colour (to make design on jhumkas), brush: No.0 or 1
5. Half pearls or crystals

Quilling  Tools:
1. Slotted tool
2. Fine tipped tweezers
3. Scissors
4. Dome shaped mold
5. Glue

Procedure:
1.To make these Jhumkas, glue 10 strips at the end ( overlap the ends of strips and glue them together). Roll the strips into a tight coil. Shape it into required dome shape by using dome shape mold. After shaping it, apply one coat of glue. When the glue is completely dried out, make the design using acrylic colour.
2. Then apply 2/3 coats of clear varnish. Varnish will take time to dry.
3. Let the varnish completely dry. Then you can stick embellishment to the jhumkas. And finally put the eye pin and ear hooks.
4. The Quilled Jhumkas are ready.

Please feel free to contribute and suggest any of your ideas. Your suggestion and comments will always be welcome. Hope you enjoy my blog.

What is Paper Quilling?
Paper Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.
The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles etc. Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together.
There are advanced techniques and different sized paper that are used to create 3D miniatures, abstract art, and quilled flowers among many things.
