Quilled Flowers

kalanirmitee: Paper quilling- quilled flowers- quilled leaves- quilled projects

To create a paper quilled flowers, we need following material:
1. Paper base: Blue colour textured handmade paper. Size of paper is 5"/5" 2. 2.Paper quilling strips: 3mm White colour quilling strips  are used to make flowers.
3. Embellishments: half white pearls

Quilling  Tools:
1. Slotted tool
2. Fine tipped tweezers
3. Scissors 4. Glue

1. Flowers are made from 3mm white colour quilling strip. Flowers are made using two different techniques. One is made using tight coils and then shaping them into teardrop shape. Other flower is made by wrapping three marquise petals.
2. Leaves are also made by wrapping multiple green colour quilled petals.

What is Paper Quilling?
Paper Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.
The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted and otherwise manipulated to create shapes which make up designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, eggs, and to make models, jewelry, mobiles etc. Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together. 
There are advanced techniques and different sized paper that are used to create 3D miniatures, abstract art, and quilled flowers among many things.
